Dr.Mohamed Varvany is a seasoned executive with over 14 years of experience in the automotive industry. He currently serves as the Managing Director. He also serves as a member of the Executive Board, where he contributes to the strategic direction and performance of the business unit. Prior to this, he led the commercial operations of Ashok Leyland Kenya by Deluxe trucks and Simba Corporation, a leading distributor of trucks and buses in Kenya. As the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), he was responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the Ashok Leyland and Mahindra brands. In his previous roles as the Sales & Presales Director and the Sales Manager at Scania East Africa, he successfully implemented sales strategies, improved sales operations, coached and steered sales teams, and created and maintained collaborative relationships. He has a proven record of accomplishment of securing important contracts, increasing business renewals, and promoting value selling in the competitive and dynamic automotive market. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration focusing on leadership from the European City University in addition to holding a Master’s in Business Administration in Strategic Management and a BSc in International Business Administration focusing on Finance and Marketing from the United States International University.
